Puppy Training

One of the things that amuses me when I happen to see adorable puppies or dogs online is when they do different tricks – such as donning the hula hoop, or jumping through a ring of fire, or amazingly, belting out a couple of songs (likely heard as a howl).

All of these are just so fantastic that I could only say kudos to the dog trainers. Training the dog seems so difficult isn’t it? But is it really? Can an average person train his dog to play hoops or to walk with its two hind legs for more than a minute? Actually, more than the training, the owner must do some more, especially when a new puppy comes into the world.

Before training him to do tricks, the first thing that the owner must do is to build the character of the puppy. After all, puppies are guided and trained by you in the first place. This will actually determine and shape your puppy for what kind of dog he will eventually become in the near future (just like humans). Second is that you should build control over your dog – tell your dog what to do and what not to do. Let him know that you are the boss. Experts have said that dogs, or puppies, are able to understand at least some English words for them to follow and understand. Third is that you shouldn’t treat your dogs severely. How can a dog ever listen to you if you don’t treat him with respect?

Follow all of these simple rules and technique and you will find yourself on the way to training your dog.
